By placing an order on www.art-absurdum.at (the website) you acknowledge that you are bound by the terms and conditions listed below.

All prices on this website are quoted exclusive of VAT (Value Added Tax), packaging, insurance and courier charges which will be charged extra as per actual cost incurred. All these costs will be indicated to you at the time of booking your order. Michael J. Masata is not liable for any charges that may be levied at the destination whether in Austria or overseas.

VAT is chargeable on all sales within Austria. No VAT will be charged on exports if the goods are shipped outside Austria and payment is received in foreign exchange.

All sales are against 100% payment in advance.

Your order will be recognized only satisfactory proof of remission of full payment is provided within 48 hours of placing the order. The buyer must then make the payment for the art work and other charges within 7 working days from the date of placing the order. If payment is not received within 7 days, the art work will be placed in the available category on the website without prior notice to you. In cases of more than one party interested in an artwork, the party intimating first proof of remission of payment will be deemed the buyer.

MODE OF PAYMENT

If you wish to purchase one of Michael J. Masata’s paintings, he accepts payment by credit card or funds transfer. To pay by credit card or funds transfer please contact Michael J. Masata by eMail with details of paintings you wish to purchase.

Credit card:  Michael J. Masata accepts all international credit cards like Visa, Master and American Express. For all payments made through credit cards, please send him the following:

BANK TRANSFERS

You can also make the payment through Bank Transfer. You can pay Michael J. Masata in USD, GBP or EURO. For getting the bank transfer details for each currency, please eMail him. He will send them to you. Please remember to send him full details of the transfer through eMail after it is affected.

Once payment is received you will receive an eMail notification. Please note that all orders are shipped only upon receipt of the payment in Michael J. Masatas’s bank account.

SHIPPING
           
Paintings are dispatched by a reputable courier service within a fortnight of cleared funds. On occasions parcels are delayed in customs. Late delivery will not constitute a breach of contract. As soon as the product is shipped, Michael J. Masata will intimate you.

The paintings exhibited on this website are unframed. The rolled paintings are always packed with extreme care so that the art work reaches its customer safely. If any art work reaches you in a damaged condition, Michael J. Masata is not responsible. However, he will assist you in the procedures for compensation for the damage from the courier and insurance companies if you notify him immediately and retain all the original packaging as proof.

Disputes if any, would be subject to Vienna (AUSTRIA) jurisdiction only.

RETURNS AND REFUNDS 

Due to Austrian custom rules, the paintings are sold on no return basis.

PAINTING VARIATIONS 

Digital photographs cannot ever fully demonstrate the high quality of these art works. Some of the colours and tones may differ slightly depending on your monitor settings. No complaints in this regard would be entertained.

COPYRIGHT

Any unauthorized reproduction or use of Michael J. Masatas’s paintings / images for profit or otherwise without prior permission from him is strictly prohibited.

PRIVACY

Any information Michael J. Masata collects about you is not shared with third parties. Information is collected to process your order and to provide you with the best possible service.
